Winter in Chicago

Last Friday school was canceled due to "severe weather conditions."  Three days later this is what the car looked like.  When I took this photo it was 0 degrees outside.  Over the past few days temperatures have ranged from -10 to 10 degrees.  BURR!

Does leaving the windshield wipers up really work? I've seen lots of people doing it, and I'm a little skeptical. I assume they'll freeze anyway, and still won't scrape well even when you put them down. Maybe I should just try it!

Yes, it's freezing cold here. When I breathe outside, I can almost feel icicles forming inside my nose!

The reason behind putting the windshield wipers up is so they don't freeze to the windshield. It also makes it it nice when you are scrapping all the ice and snow off because you do not have to be as careful. Less ice forms on them and they really do work better when you put them down. We are big fans of putting them up.

That is so cold! Wow! But it must have been fun having school canceled! It has been cold here too like in the 20's almost every day but now it is starting to warm up. I hope that is what happens in Chicago too! So what are you doing for Christmas this year? Well Merry Christmas too!
Love,
Jewls!
