St. Patrick's Day

For St. Patrick's Day, Dave and I headed into the city for a little Irish celebration. Chicago has a river that runs through the middle of the city, and they dye the river green for St. Patrick's Day. As  you can see, the river turns a bright neon green for a couple hours. We also tried to see part of a parade, but there were so many people there we finally gave up. It was a fun, cold, green filled day!

Of course, we had to stop by "The Bean." As you can see in the reflection, there was quite a bit of green in the city of Chicago.

The Great Debate

Over the past few months, Dave and I have been debating on what crib to get. Many times, the crib issue was just dropped to ease the tension regarding "the crib." We were finally able to narrow down our choices to two. Dave had his top choice, and I had mine. It came down to a final phone call to my mom to choose which she liked better...Dave won. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the "other" crib. Dave 1 Kenna 0. Here's the crib and the bedding (I did get to pick the bedding) in all its glory.

Pink, Green, & Polka Dots

Last weekend, my friend Michelle and I threw a baby shower for our friend Kira. She's having a little girl at the beginning of April. Her colors are pink and green, and we decided on a polka dot theme. It was a fun day, and Kira got lots of cute things for baby Conley. Thanks to all who came!

Everyone did a great job on the food. It was delicious. As you can see, we really tried to maintain the theme even with the food.

Michelle made this adorable diaper cake. I got the idea of the polka dot decorations from my friend's website www.marrymemarryme.com.

This isn't the best picture, but I have gotten several requests for an updated picture. This is the only recent one I have!
